Learn by doing

There is more than one way to shine.

Programs change from year to year, so children can try new things while developing useful skills and friendships.

01

Create

Creative art, writing, crafts, scrapbook projects, and other hands-on challenges give members room to imagine and make.

02

Speak & perform

Public speaking, poetry, talent sharing, demonstrations, and Sign-a-Song help children practice confidence and communication.

03

Serve & lead

Community service, advocacy, parliamentary practice, and age-appropriate leadership projects show children how their ideas can help others.

Explore current opportunities through the Washington State Grange Junior Department and National Junior Grange contests.

Summer at Camp Wooten

Camp, friendship, and room to grow.

Junior members and their friends may attend Junior Grange Camp at Camp Wooten in the Blue Mountains near Pomeroy. Washington’s Junior Grange camps welcome children ages 9–14 for activities, healthy exercise, friendship, and leadership development.

Camp Wooten is a rustic 1930s-era Civilian Conservation Corps retreat center with cabins, a recreation hall, a heated indoor pool, sports facilities, an archery range, and canoes for Donnie Lake.

Active Junior members may qualify for a full camp scholarship covering the entire cost of camp. Contact the local Junior Grange for current eligibility and application details.
